Each bed had springs placed in it, and was full of the best down. The sheets were cambric of the finest texture, coverlets of silks and satins, beautifully labored, while over all was a unfold of Brussels or point lace. The other long room opposite was furnished with bedsteads of best rosewood, inlaid with gold, silver, pearl, and even treasured stones.
