In the United States, the TLC Network aired a common program called Trading Spaces, a show in line with the UK program Changing Rooms. Famous interior designers whose tasks are featured on these programs include Bunny Williams, Barbara Barry, and Kathy Ireland, and the like.

Many interior planning magazines exist to provide advice regarding color palette, furniture, art, and also other elements that fit in the umbrella of decor.
